Leading with EQ
A Practical Approach to Leading with Emotional Intelligence
In today’s dynamic and interconnected workplace, emotional intelligence (EQ) has become a critical leadership skill that distinguishes exceptional leaders from the rest. This two-day experiential training program, Leading with Emotional Intelligence, is designed to equip executives and supervisors with the essential capabilities to lead themselves and others more effectively through the mastery of emotional intelligence. Participants will explore the five components of EQ as introduced by Daniel Goleman—self- awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills—within the leadership context. Through interactive presentations, group discussions, role-play, reflective exercises, and immersive learning activities, participants will learn how to recognise emotional patterns, manage reactions, communicate authentically, and foster deeper relationships at work. The course also integrates practical leadership models such as Situational Leadership (Hersey & Blanchard), SCARF Model by David Rock, and the Johari Window to enhance interpersonal understanding and trust. By the end of the programme, leaders will be better equipped to manage workplace challenges with emotional agility, build high-performing teams, and influence others positively while maintaining personal resilience.
